Due to the progressing digitalization, drastic changes have been seen in the healthcare sector in recent years. Digital approaches such as electronic patient file, video consultation with the attending medical doctor, or the issuing of a prescription by means of an app, are only the first approaches that touch on this area. In addition, treatment and operation systems based on artificial intelligence are becoming increasingly important. All these new challenges also call for corresponding data protection regulations.
The conference "Digital Megatrends in Healthcare", which took place on July 31, 2020, addressed this current issue. The focus was on new challenges both in general and in particular, as well as in the legal and financial context, which are summarized in this conference volume.

Progressive digitalization and automation are leading to a profound change in the current working world. This development implies, on the one hand, a massive loss of jobs and, on the other hand, the emergence of completely new fields of activity, which poses new challenges for employers and employees. In order to secure their jobs, employees are required to qualify themselves in new fields of activity. In addition, employers must gear their human resources work toward actively accompanying this transformation.
The conference "The Impact of Digital Transformation on the World of Work", which took place on June 18/19, 2020, dealt intensively with this current problem. Discussions focused particularly on the digitalization of jobs in various industries, human resources tools, as well as leadership and collaboration, all of which are summarized in this conference volume.
